How do you say "tweet" in Spanish?

Good question!
The answer is pling!

South of the border, apps like facebook and twitter only work on smartphones with data plans and the market penetration of these devices is still very very small. Here is where iPling's new SMS based grupos... ¡ya! service comes into play. Anyone with a Telcel or Movistar phone in Mexico can now create a group and ask as many people he/she wants to join it. The author can then send pling blasts to the entire group and keep everyone informed. Group members if they so choose can reply to the author, who in turn decides when, or not, to receive replies. All via text messages!

iPling is busy building a critical mass in Mexico and hopes to soon offer you its groups service here in the U.S. We'll let you know...
